This had to be the most difficult stadium to get access to mobile tickets. I had to download the 49ers app to have access to my tickets, which I bought through ticket master. Yes, another Cowboy game and a horrible lost 42 to 10. Very disappointing. The stadium is nice great view even from the nosebleed area. If you are buying food or drinks know that you will send a lot of money that is just the nature of the beast when attending an NFL game. There is parking outside of the stadium, $60.00 and about a ½ mile walk. Take your time leaving the stadium, because the traffic pattern is slow moving.

Probably the best place we visited in Silicon Valley in terms of things to look at, and free. We did a self guided drive with commentary, which was a great way to see the area, and this was one of the stops.

Amazing campus and better university. It is the best campus I have seen in my life although I have been to +100 campuses across the nation.

A wonderful place to celebrate Mass

    - - - - - - - -

Our daughter and I visited San Jose, CA, and the Bay area one mid-October weekend. We had a good time.

Sunday morning, we celebrated Mass at the Santa Clara Mission Church, on the campus of Santa Clara University.

The priest's homily pointed us to how Scripture calls us to ...

    Perseverance...
... applies to students at mid-terms...
    ... applies to us all,
    including...
Moses needed help to eep his arms raised over the battle with Amalek
St. Paul calling us to pray unceasingly
Jesus and the parable of the unjust judge rendering for the persistent widow

    1. Strength together
    2. Scriptures
    3. Pray without ceasing

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus,
who will judge the living and the dead,
and by his appearing and his kingly power:
    proclaim the word;
    be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient;
convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.St. Paul, 2 Tm 3:14-4:2

Thank you, Father, for letting us celebrate Mass with you and the rest of the congregation.

I went to see the Santa Clara Convention Center. The location is close to Levi's Stadium. A youth conference was going on. The Hyatt Regency Hotel is connected to the Convention Center.

The center is two stories high. There are escalators and stairs.

Its a nice convention center for the Santa Clara aea.

If you have tickets to a game, the price should be included in your tickets to see this place, or at least discounted. It was very interesting for the 49er fan in my husband. It ends in you going into the store which thankfully he found nothing he couldn't buy on line for less, pretty pricy items.

This library has a decent resident selection and since they are tied to the rest of the Santa Clara city library service AND NOW, the Link+ group, it is much easier to get access to harder to find books.

Our family used to come to this park with older children almost every day and loved to spend here birthdays, family events and holidays over the past 20 years. Now we are coming with our younger children and park is still we’ll maintained. They have beautiful playground for younger children. Older children have rustic climbing and hiding areas over the bridge. Lots of spaces for people who wants to exercise. Scenic pond is wild life refuge for migrating birds with lots of ducklings. Grass is full of flowers. Near by is well known swimming center for synchronized Olympic swimmers and divers. Santa Clara library is amazing resource for local communities. Barbecue area is full of blooming wisterias. Major fireworks on 4th of July happened in this park. Every corner of this park is loved dearly. Highly recommended for all ages. Very safe environment.

Since it has been many years for my last visit here, a friend and I chose to include this park in our itinerary, especially knowing Cedar Fair has sold the park and will close it in ten years or less.

The park was not crowded, and we got many coaster rides. Rerides are allowed up to twice in a row if your seat will be empty on the next ride cycle.

A couple rides were down for maintenance and refurbishment. The operating rides seemed to be in good condition. Line cutting was a bit of a problem, even on a low-crowd day.

Midway were clean. Employees were friendly enough.

Food prices were high, typical of most amusement parks. The park is cashless, and management wants guests to order food on kiosks. Bad idea. You need human interaction here. Some guests have food allergies and need to make sure they won't get food that will harm them (example - daily allergies can't have cheeseburgers. But no hamburger option....). On this day, the kiosks were covered up, so we had to order in person. Only problem, there was no menu listed food options nor prices. Okay....it's a chicken place. Dobyou have nuggets, strip, sandwiches, or all? For kids with a prepaid card, there is no way for them to know if they have enough on the card until the end. Come on, Cedar Fair. I expect better from you.

Cedar Fair has adopted a policy that guests under 15 must have a chaperone over the age of 21 with them after like 5:00. This policy was instated to cut down on unruly, unsupervised kids, but it didn't seem to be enforced. Luckily, most of the kids under 15 without supervision seemed to be behaving. Not all of them was, though. Policies look good in print, but they must be enforced to be effective. Just saying.

I give my visit a grade of B. If you have not been here before, please visit soon. It will not be here much longer, according to Cedar Fair management.

This art museum is free and open to the public. There are indoor exhibits and an outdoors bronze statuary garden. I love that the exhibits change so each time I travel here I always have new things to see. Brought my grandkids (14 and 17) and both enjoyed it.

Ulistac Natural Area was located off Lick Mill Boulevard with street parking available. The entrance was dominated by a large wooden sign and a bit understated. It’s an easy walk from nearby homes if one was lucky enough to live nearby.

The paths were gravel, flat and well maintained. Signs were posted in certain areas highlighting the natural features of the land. Most helpful were the poison oak warnings so we did not let our dog stray off the path.

While the sun was out, a chill was still in the air so we kept a good pace. We made our way to the back and walked along the Guadalupe River for a bit. Here we saw Levi Stadium in the distance but the pumping station was a bit of an eyesore. After awhile we turned around and meandered around the many interconnected trails. In a clearing, big tree trunk parts were arranged in circles and some kids were jumping from one to another chasing each other.

Since it was still winter, no flowers were in bloom so it was a little drab but the clear blue sky made up for it.

Still having the fresh air and open space was a good get away from civilization for a short while.
