I attended the "Advanced" manicurist classes in Fall of 2020. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had. My only language is English & I was put in a class with a Vietnamese speaking teacher, then with a Spanish speaking teacher who taught in broken English. It bothered me that I was told there was English teaching classes. I know the ladies were doing the best they could- just wish the admissions would have told me how it really is because I would have picked another school where I can learn in my language. My first day I was so confused about what to do, had to ask the front desk what are my classmates working on because the teacher didn't approach or acknowledge me.
I don't feel like I learned anything & I'm actually going back to school to learn things the right way.
I got nail glue in my eye & I remember asking the teacher for help...another student had to get her attention & tell her in their language that I needed help- didn't bother to help me (the bathroom sink is so tiny I couldn't get enough water to flush my eyes) & I overheard her say "eyelashes too long" and laughing while I was rinsing my eye in the bathroom. I actually had to get the principal to help me rinse my eye on the salon side. No eyewash stations in the establishment & were working with strong chemicals...
I saw teachers with students prepping for their board when they got close to completing their hours- but I wasn't ever offered that 1:1 help & the class began prepping for board on my last week of school. "Advanced" manicurist program was a waste of my time. Majority of the staff & teachers were kind- aside from the glue incident. But I didn't not learn anything from the months I attended. Choose your education wisely.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Carol N.Anaheim, CA1322214Apr 29, 2021
Ripping student's off their stimulus aid. The school asks students to give it $300 cash before gives them their assigned $600 checks.
Such an unethical action to students in needs during difficult time. Hope they will be investigated soon.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Little B.Anaheim, CA02Sep 24, 2022
If i could give it a negative star i would. This is the worst school i ever attended to. I hope no people unfortunate person would ever have to go to this school. I was finished with my hours and trying to withdraw my proof of training but this rude lady ( vicky) in the front office was giving me a hard time for it. She was giving my friend an attitude, saying and i quote"i only talk to students". My friend was just asking her politely about how to get the POT. Then, She tried to make me pay for 2 more extra week of school just to get my POT. Horrible school.

I'm currently a student at this faculty. Because of this place, I was able to get my hair and nails licenses. All the teachers and students here are very helpful and nice. Approximately 3 months to get my Nails License, and another 14 months to get my Hair License. Thank You SABC!

WORST SCHOOL EVER:
DO NOT go there. I have a relative who goes there and says thee most craziest stories. That school is the worst. The teachers in the beauty salon (haircuts, dying hair, etc) section will not attend to you, only if they like you. They will ignore you if they don't like you. The morning teachers in the Hair Department are the best, and will attend you, but as for the Evening Teacher they will have favoritism They will speaking Spanish instead of English as the State Board knows and has clarified with them that it's only a English speaking class.. IF YOU DONT JOIN THEIR GOSSIP GROUP THEY WILL SHUN YOU. DONT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL for Hair. For nails I have no idea how the teachers are or the barber teachers. But for the hair teachers not good.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Pao P.Sacramento, CA14713Mar 14, 2020

The other day I went to school and asked for some information about Cosmetology course,I talked to Mrs. Jennelle, she was so helpful and friendly and offered me a lot useful information about the job available after finishing classes too.
I highly recommended it, one of the best schools in OC!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J.R. A.Orange County, CA230487126Aug 31, 2015Updated review
So this is an updated review for my schooling here. Never have I been in a school where the staff and your teacher are so attentive to you and completely set you up for complete success. Everyone here is great. My experience has been phenomenal and I want to thank my teacher for all that she has done to prep me for the examination. I passed with flying colors.
As I was at the State Board Examination in LA, I noticed not many girls were prepped and told what to expect. Many ladies from Maronello schools, and many more were not fully disclosed on what to expect. Our teacher, Kim, has been beyond helpful and assures that with her techniques and her set up ways are the best. THEY ARE!! Hands down, after seeing the other estheticians not being fully prepared, I was so worried for them and my worry washed away. I am so happy woth this school & I will personally continue to come to get facials for myself at the best price!
But remember, these are students learning under the teachers supervision! Happy Facialling!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

CEO/ OwnerSep 25, 2014Previous reviewTo start this one off, I am a student here studying Esthetics. Now, I saw the reviews, even the ones not recommended & thought crap, this place has the worst of the worst. But, I recently found that an old friend of mine was finishing up her cosmetology license here. Sweet, she gave me the run down.
Finally one day, I picked up the phone & spoke to Micky. She has so much going on, so please bare with her. She walked me through the process. If you get financial aid, you are very lucky & take advantage of it. I, unfortunately, do not qualify. So tuition is a solid number, but you may do monthly payments-thank heavens.
I love my professor Kim. She is a genuine, sweet woman who has all her past & present students visit frequently because she's just that awesome. She teaches Esthetics only, but if a field is what you're looking for, go for this one.
Now, I met a few beauty school students & they are (for the most part) nice. Services here are extremely affordable, but of course students are practicing & take much longer than your usual spot. If you can manage, definitely recommend doing things here...
Last but not least, I go here. So, not to toot my horn but...I can do pretty nice facials. The price for a basic facial is $10. For a full on facial with extractions & mask is $15. Either facial is VERY AFFORDABLE. There is no reason why you wouldn't be able to have an excellent facial done in your lifetime. Actual salon & spa spots can run about $60-$125, which doesn't include tip, so TAKE ADVANTAGE. I personally have experience waxing myself, family, & friends, but not guests, though if asked, we may do so.
Hours of Services:
Facials: Monday-Thursday 10:45am-2pm
Hair: Monday-Friday 11am-3pm
See you there ;-) - Cherry D.Garden Grove, CA121Dec 8, 2017
I attended this school to study Manicure/Advance Manicure and I really like it here. The school atmosphere is very friendly and fun. Leida who works at the Financial Aids desk, helped me throughout all the paper works. She made it very simple and easy. I'm planning to come back to this school and continue with my beauty study in Cosmetology.
This school is amazing and good service.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Franklin N.Garden Grove, CA11Apr 1, 2018
This is a super friendly school and has a lot of nice instructors. It has a variety of different programs you can take and the students there are pretty chill. I learned a lot from this place and now got a pretty decent job so come take a look, i definitely recommend
