Had an amazing time shopping in San Marcos Outlets. So many stores. We stayed at Hilton nearby and enjoyed our stay. Great food options. My favorite stores are Brahmin, Michael Kors, Victoria Secret and Kate Spade. You won't be disappointed! There's something for everyone.

This is a pretty little inner tub float down the river. If you are in town for a day or two --do it!
There are a number of providers, but they all do the same thing. Bring beer and a trash bag.

My husband and I visited Wonder World on a Sunday morning and had a great time. He really enjoyed the train ride/animal visit and the cups of feed are a reasonable size for their price. The cave was neat to see since it was formed from an earthquake rather than water. Since the cave tour isn't that long, I would advise parents to try to leave any backpacks/diaper bags in the car as you'll be busy either helping the young ones up/down the steep steps or carrying them. There are guardrails for the most part, but as a grown adult some of those steps felt steep even for me. There are also some low hanging rocks, which the tour guide did warn us about multiple times, but I still managed to whack my head against so be aware of your surroundings. The anti-gravity house wasn't worth it to me, but other people seemed to enjoy it so to each their own. Do hold onto your kids though because I did see one little one take a hard tumble into the wall. Overall a good experience for the whole family!

Tanger is situated right next to the famous San Marcos outlet. Although not as big as it’s neighbor, still it is of substantial size. There are lots of parking spaces, and some decent eating options as well. Some shops are common to both malls, however Tanger has some unique variety as well. If you are planning to cover both these outlet malls on the same day, then forget it… it is not humanly possible!

Great place! The beers are great and they have a good non-beer selection as well. The deck upstairs has good views and the staff were helpful when it came to my beer questions.

This is a free museum and we spent as much time viewing this small collection as we did at the Blanton Museum of Art. The photographic exhibits are wonderful as well as the historic photos by Edward Curtis and the Big Bang of Texas Music was interesting as well. If you are a Lonesome Dove fan, be sure to see the collection of memorabilia from the movie. Our GPS found the museum with no problem; be sure to read the instructions on where to park and the location of the museum on the website. They explain it pretty clearly.

A lot of people don’t realize that there are 40,000 students that attend this university. Impressive, large stadium. On the outskirts of a very large campus near the water. Really nice to drive around the campus. Some grassy areas. Lots of walking.

We booked Roughhouse Brewing for our Rehearsal dinner on 3/15/24. If I could give 10 stars I would! Our experience was just amazing! Naz was our point of contact and from the beginning she was so nice and accommodating. We booked the upstairs loft for our 45 guests, and it fit us all perfectly. It overlooked the actual brewing room which was so cool! We had their inhouse catering of pulled pork and brisket sliders. They served it with mac and cheese and coleslaw and it was amazing! We had a lot of out of towners in from Virginia, so we really wanted to give them some good Texas BBQ, and we definitely did! Everyone LOVED the food! It was the perfect, relaxed, atmosphere that we wanted! The beer is amazing, and because they serve wine and other drinks, everyone had something to choose from! After our event was over, we went outside and enjoyed the scenery and firepits. It was such a beautiful place! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this brewery to anyone!

There are two "glass" places in Wimberley. This was my first experience @ Silo - a class to make a night light. After a tour of "toys" (cutters, grinders, kilns, molds) I was taught about glass. Remember the scene in "Forrest Gump" when Bubba describes all the variations of preparing shrimp.....there are as many variations and properties of glass!! Deb is a very patient and super informative artist. I was so overwhelmed by choices that I narrowed down to a few basic colors, two types of embellishment and two basic cutting skills - which was perfect. After my project I inspected the artists' gallery with a more appreciative eye. Having just learned and experienced the very basics of glass art projects prompted me to inspect pieces even more closely and truly appreciate the artist's process and the patience to bring it to fruition. Art piece prices initially appear ridiculous but once realizing the true glass art form, the time invested and the artist's technique and vision, price should not be a part of deciding to purchase any unique fused glass art. Taking a class @ Silo is a MUST!

Went to a Texas group who had been successful and just completed a national tour. Lots of people. When we arrived about opening time there was a huge long line around the corner and down the street. We went to a nearby bar / restaurant and had drinks while the line went down. Upon return we got our wrist bands and entered. Bought some shirts. The drinks were just OK. We went upstairs where there was another large bar. The warmup group was lousy. Blue October was far better. Exit flow was not bad.

At first it was a bit overwhelming. But, when you take the time to look at the building, it’s a really impressive structure. Very unique. Can’t say I’ve seen another courthouse with a dome like this one.
