A gangster has taunted UK cops after fleeing on a private plane and speed boat to Sierra Leone to apparently do charity work.

Sam Walker (39) who has dozens of convictions for over 130 offences, is one of the most prolific criminals to frequent the English press.

Walker has spent many years in prison for a variety of crimes including violence, firearms and drug supply - and has had famous spats with the likes of ex-Everton star Ross Barkley.

Walker now claims to have bolted from the UK after being bailed following another arrest - and embarked on a journey across Europe to Sierra Leone in Africa.

The career criminal who regularly documents his life on social media, claimed his journey included chartering a private plane and using a speed boat to cross the Mediterranean.

In recent updates posted on his TikTok and Instagram, Walker said: "I'm going to the slums to get these kids their operations so they can see their families again."

Walker, who posted video of a bag "stuffed with 50s", said: "I could be in Marbella or Dubai living life but I choose to go the slums to follow my vision of changing the lives of so many people in the slums who have no hope or opportunity to better there lives and who have been failed charities."

His latest videos appear to show him in Sierra Leone arriving at a "fully secure compound with three armed security loyal and ready".

"Coz I've got no passport I have to take these mad routes to get to Sierra Leone.

“I got a plane to a remote field in Antwerp. Then a flight from Belgium to near Cairo.

“Now I'm heading to Morocco via Port Said and then driving across the Sahara into Sierra Leone.”

“I've just found out this cargo ship is going by Morocco, so I'm happy. I've just had to pay a member of staff. Luckily enough I've come with a bag full of f***ing money. This bag is stuffed to the brim with fifties.”

Walker was previously convicted for drug dealing in Cheshire in 2008 and was eventually caught in a serious sting that saw €13m worth of drugs seized, along with luxury cars, bundles of cash and jewellery.

Walker has dedicated a lot of his recent social media activity to claiming he is a victim of "constant police harassment".

Walker claimed he was recently arrested near Bournemouth, Dorset, on February 14 and bailed on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

He was previously reported to have been making around €3,000 per day.

On many of his TikTok videos, he appears to be indeed doing charity work in Africa, with one group of villagers having made a large sign saying ‘Thank you Sam Walker.’

Walker’s disagreement with Ross Barkley was over a woman back in 2014.

The 30-year-old Luton Town footballer was visited by Merseyside Police but declined to make a complaint about a message, which read: “Inbox me a number for you, ya little rat!

“You know what this is about so don’t act stupid or your footie career will come to an end!”
