Nothing says lighthearted like some competitive baking! Between the accents, the sweets, and the best judges ever this show is perfect to binge if you just need a little escapism. For most contestants, baking has been their hobby for multiple years and their backstories will melt your heart. This show is the perfect family show, great for all ages. We don’t recommend watching while hungry, but it’s a great way to get inspired for some fun quarantine activities. Get ready to learn about the perfect British biscuit!
An oldie but a goodie, The Office is the best stress reliever during these unprecedented times. Nothing says feel-good more than Jim’s pranks, Dwight’s evil plans, and pretty much every single one of Michael’s interviews. This show garners no shortage of belly laughs, with a couple of really endearing moments to tug on those heartstrings (cue the engagement episode). If you’re looking for something that feels familiar and is sure to make you laugh, this show is the perfect one to binge.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime)
If you are looking for an upbeat show with just a little bit of drama, this one is the perfect concoction. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’sMidge navigates life in New York in the 1950s, this show is jam-packed with comedy, family woes, and some of the best production design sets. This comedy will take you back in time, far before the coronavirus was even a thought. Rachel Brosnahan encompasses Midge so well, it’s easy to see why the show has won 16 Emmy awards!
The Good Place is a quirky show about the afterlife, which might sound grim, but we promise you it’s not! Eleanor has died and ended up in ‘the good place’ where everything is magical and pretty much perfect. This utopia is littered with amazing people, frozen yogurt, and anything else someone could dream up. Eleanor feels a bit out of place, and there is a reason why. This show is hilarious, and they throw in a couple of good life lessons as well. Kristen Bell is perfect in the role of Eleanor and is sure to keep you laughing with her endless sarcasm.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Hulu and NBC)
This series is perfect for viewers who want comedy, with a little bit of action sprinkled in. Following the childish but wildly talented Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Brooklyn Nine-Nine centers around Jake and the rest of the team of detectives in Brooklyn’s 99th police precinct. The team is a band of misfits, with quirky character traits and odd-ball strategies, but somehow they always get the job done. This binge-worthy show is perfect for those with a unique sense of humor and love for all things crazy in New York.
This one’s for all the Bachelor/Bachelorette fans. If you love The Bachelor franchise, you will surely love Love is Blind. The show follows a group of 30 men and women who are looking for true love. However, they do so blindly. Each contestant talks with one another in pods where they must rely solely on the art of conversation to fuel their spark. They can’t see or touch each other, making their love stories a little complicated and unique. It might seem a little crazy, but the show has heart! These people are serious about finding love, and something about it just magical.
