Salesian College

Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to Salesian College. As you explore our website, you will discover a wealth of information about the College and all that happens here.

We are a comprehensive, Catholic College based at Highfield Road, Chertsey, with approximately 350 pupils on roll. Our students have exclusive use of our centre with its dedicated study areas, as well as enjoying other privileges that set them apart from younger pupils. The ethos of the College is inspired by the Salesian spirit of Don Bosco, which puts the whole needs of the young person first. You do not have to be Catholic yourself to attend the college but you should be willing to respect our beliefs and traditions. For further information about our Salesian community, please click here.

Our aim is that every student in our care achieves their potential in an academic, social and emotional sense. Positive, healthy relationships are central in our learning and teaching, motivated by cheerfulness and optimism. We offer an academically rigorous curriculum with a wide range of A-Levels and a small number of vocational qualifications including one T-Level in Education and Childcare. For further information on our diverse curriculum offer, please click here.

We pride ourselves on our outstanding results and the individualised approach we take to career guidance so that all students leave the school equipped with the academic and personal skills to thrive at university or in the workplace. For further information regarding our results and destinations, please visit our academic excellence area of the website.

We have an excellent pastoral team including fantastic tutors who make it their mission to look after each of their tutee’s. For this reason every day starts with tutor time and on the first lesson every Thursday is always PSHE. We recognise the importance of a well-balanced education therefore all students to participate in a weekly enrichment programme of their choice on a Wednesday afternoon. We also offer many trips and extra-curricular opportunities, the college ski trip and Gold Duke of Edinburgh being the most prestigious and popular.

If you have any questions about our College or would like to arrange a tour, please do contact our College Manager, Mrs Sherillyn Bullock here.

I look forward to seeing you soon,

Lizzie Bolton
