MLS pundit Sacha Kljestan has praised Lionel Messi for how the Inter Miami forward took his goal last night against the Colorado Rapids.
The Argentine superstar returned to action for the Herons this weekend as Messi made an immediate impact for Inter Miami with a well-taken goal after coming on in the second half.
Whilst Inter Miami weren’t able to hold onto their lead as a late Cole Bassett goal saw the points shared, Messi’s return was a major positive for the Florida franchise, especially heading into next week’s clash against CF Monterrey.

And speaking on MLS Wrap-Up, league legend Kljestan was blown away by how Messi took his goal against the Colorado Rapids, with the winger hitting a first-time strike past Zack Steffen.
Indeed, Messi showed his world-class quality mere minutes after entering the pitch, and pundits were clearly impressed with what they saw from the Argentine superstar on his comeback game.
Kljestan said when asked to describe how technically hard Messi’s finish was: “It’s so difficult, yet he makes it look so easy because he’s hit it with the inside of his left.
“But the way the ball is bouncing, and taking that second bounce just before he finishes it takes unbelievable body control and the placement with the inside of his left is superb.”

Messi’s quality as the greatest to ever play the game is enough to drag Inter Miami through certain games, with last night a rare exception as the Colorado Rapids got lucky on the break.
Yet in upcoming fixtures, there’s a good chance that Messi’s magic alone will be enough to secure big wins for Inter Miami, as we have seen over the past few months.
Whilst the forward’s fitness remains a problem, Messi’s world-class abilities make the Argentine the best player MLS has ever seen, and Inter Miami know they have an incredible weapon on their hands.
