The Golden State Warriors are signing guard Ryan Rollins to a three-year, $4.8 million rookie deal, a league source confirmed with The Chronicle.

Rollins, 20, will have his first two years fully guaranteed, with a good chunk of the third year guaranteed as well. To get this deal done, the Warriors had to use some of what remained from their taxpayer mid-level exception.

This all reinforces just how much Golden State values Rollins, who’s fresh off leading Toledo to back-to-back MAC regular-season titles. During last month’s draft, a Warriors team deep into the luxury tax dealt $2 million and the No. 51 pick to the Hawks so it could take him at No. 44.

Rollins sat out summer league with a stress fracture in his right foot, but he is expected to be ready by the start of training camp in late September. He fills the 13th spot on the Warriors’ 15-man roster.
