Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Hugary1Sydney, Australia7,954 contributionsWe were doing our own tour of the area with me as designated driver. These wineries we went to were all very interesting and offered and range of wines etc to taste. I did try the muscat here as it has been a favourite of mine for 40 years.
The blonde short haired lady dealing with us was terrific. Great explantations and patience servicing us with the various wines.
For me the best place for Muscat. They also have a range in 5l glass flagons which is very good. A place not to miss.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Friendly informative staff who made us welcome and gave us a wide variety of wines etc available for tasting.
The wines were good but the Muscat and port were very much to my taste and we bought more here to add to the others for the 5 previous cellar doors.
Rutherglen is easy to navigate to a large number of wineries in a narrow geographical area. Much easier that the Hunter or Barrossa were you drive much greater distances. Few places as well so more manageable as a sole tour over two days.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very friendly folks and a wide range to choose from. Once again we found the Muscat great and purchased that in bottles and a 5l container as well.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a smaller winery with lovely staff who take the time to talk you through the tasting. The wine was really good and the company was brilliant too.
Lovely quiet setting and beautiful surrounds.
10/10Written 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Mandy B10 contributionsBeautiful venue. Friendly staff. Lovely great priced wines.
We attended this afternoon, we were welcomed warmly.
Free generous tasting of their really well priced numerous wines.
We then sat in the leafy gardens and had a yummy platter.
Of course we bought wine also.
My only suggestion would be that as there was only 2 of us and the platter set up is you buy a whole pack of crackers $10, the whole blocks of cheese etc. way too much for a couples. Maybe offer 1/2 serves.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A great tasting at the start from Michael and then lunch a huge hit. Not a huge menu and not huge portions but everything was done extremely well! The duck fat potatoes were a standout! Staff lead by Belinda were very attentive. Would definitely go againWritten 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Frank E T1 contributionMy wife & I were advise by the Information Center to visit the Olive Grove.
We arrived on a very warm day,to find we were the only visitors and received a very warm welcome. We tasted a number of different Olives and in the end decided to purchase 3 Bottles of the ones we liked the best,Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Staying at a friends place in Chiltern and thought we’d visit Andersons. I loved the wines and it was great to try things I hadn’t sampled before eg Sparkling Durif. Clearly they are experts but tailored their approach to me, kept it simple and as a result left with 6 bottles and signed up to their quarterly deliveries. I’ve not been disappointed and love the honesty e.g. we we’re disappointed with this vintage, tastes OK, drink it quickly. I think they could make more of the cellar door, put in a restaurant or something but I guess that’s not who they are. I loved the raw humbleness of this place and it’s now my favourite wine and I tell loads of people. Have a visit or buy online.Written 27 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andrew NAuckland Central, New Zealand1 contributionFantastic little family winery, a picturesque location, free tasting of their uniformly high-quality wines with the friendly winemakerWritten 6 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hugary1Sydney, Australia7,954 contributionsMorris has a great reputation and well deserved. tastings were great with lots of information. Place is being renovated so movement around to get in is slowed.
They unlike many of the others are a much larger commercial concern and have left behind the traditional tin shed cellar doors. They have not compromised to taste or service at the counter.

During the Covid lockdown in 2020 and 2021, the top three suites were remodelled and they are now equal to any 5 star accommodation with a huge room, a modern bathroom with a walk in shower and a fabulous bed.
The breakfast during the week is the only reason I haven't given 5 stars as during the week it is very basic, even though it is called a Continental breakfast. Our version of Continental is cold meats, cold boiled eggs and pastries. The breakfast here is the most basic we have ever encountered On Saturday and Sundays, a cooked hot breakfast is provided.
The restaurant at lunch and in the evenings is excellent and we always enjoy our dinners when staying at Tuileries.
We like to come up to Rutherglen to enjoy the lovely climate, visit the wineries and then relax back at the Tuileries on our huge veranda in the sunshine as the suites all face north. Just make sure you don't book one of the rooms that do not overlook the vineyard as that is a different standard of room.Written 2 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The wine selection at Jones is delicious and we enjoyed drinking what ended up being a bottle of Rose with our lunch. Lunch was delicious and could have easily eaten more, not because I was hungry, just because it was so delicious I didn't want it to end. We enjoyed sitting outside basking in the sun for the last moments of summer and enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the gardens at Jones. Thank you!Written 6 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hugary1Sydney, Australia7,954 contributionsFriendly cellar staff who provided a range of drinks to try. Great wines but we came for the Muscat and left with a few bottles.
There is also an eatery and an outside area to wander around in.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We called on a cold Tuesday and were warmly greeted by Kay and the friendly dogs. Whilst I was the designated driver I did taste a couple of their reds, the durif and a multi varietal red blend which were amazing as to complexity and how the wines were crafted. Bought a few bottles and will return. Thank you for your hospitality.Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StreakyDeaksMelbourne, Australia48 contributionsOur motel recommended this place and it’s a must visit! Great wine, superb cheese board, fantastic decor and Georgie & Ricky were great hosts. Ricky makes the wine and I opted for the Pinot Grigio. Very nice !Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
