I did. Really did. But..man I dunno. I like episodes from it. I really do…but I dunno.
Maybe it’s the more fairy tale tone that gets me off it but I just feel like that’s not really a lot of tension to me at least. I dunno…
I did like the actors, Matt Smith is great as always, some episodes I WILL rewatch cos I can like from what I don’t really prefer for Who overall.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great people can enjoy it and it’s great that Smith got to play the Doctor, I like his performance

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Me personally? If i didn’t like the fantasy-esque tone, I’d chalk it up as a character trait of The Doctor, and simply accept that the tone will change with a new lead (knowing, obviously, that it’s actually a matter of showrunner).
I preferred Moffit’s interpretation because it’s difficult to do sci-fi without coming off too camp or cheesy due to constraints in budget or target audience.
The fairy tale angle doesn’t exempt such criticisms, but almost leans into them without the knowing wink to the audience.
Fair. I just missed eps like Turn Left, family of blood etc. i really felt like Davies nailed the more emotional side . To me anyways
See to me, Eleven had the most emotional episodes in the series.
I will say though that RTD did really nail a very specific type of dread.

Yeah that dread I felt..always felt really downplayed in 11’s era. Dunno, think it’s the brighter colours, rhe more whimsical music and the more lighter feel…I dunno, it always felt like a spin off to me .
Like do I hate that run? God no. Think it has great episodes, but..I grew up more with Davies
