Roth/Kirschenbaum Films (also known as RK Films, formerly Roth Films) is an American production company founded by former Revolution Studios founder and chairman Joe Roth. In 2015, Jeff Kirschenbaum joined the company after leaving Universal Studios and rebranded to its current name.
History[]
Roth Films was formed in 2007 by Joe Roth, who had previously founded and led Revolution Studios from 2000 to 2007. The company signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment in October 2007. The studio's first production, Alice in Wonderland in 2010, grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
In 2015, Jeff Kirschenbaum announced that he would leave Universal Pictures, where he had served as co-president of production and overseen franchises such as Fast & Furious and Jurassic World, to join Roth Films as a partner. The company was then renamed Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.
