Luther Preparatory School offers a unique learning experience for teens because not only is it a college prep school, but it is a boarding school. Teens are able to learn not only from the faculty in charge, but also from the lives of each other as they experience dorm life at a younger level than the average adolescent. Luther Preparatory School is fully equipped with the tools necessary to prepare teens for college.
Luther prep is a pretty good school, but definitely not for everyone. It would be very hard for someone who isn’t Lutheran or WELS to thrive there, considering how deeply rooted it is in the culture at Luther prep. For those that fit into the prep niche, it’s fantastic. Going to a dorm school that isn’t a stereotypical strict boarding school fosters responsibility and personal growth, as well as creating some pretty amazing friendships and sense of community
I really loved how Luther Prep allowed me to stay in the dormitories and get ready for college. They also have a very great academic program that got me prepared to go to college. They had a great culture and I made many lifelong friends that I can always go to for help, to share failures and victories with. I would like to see some changes in the cafeteria, although it was okay for the budget that was allowed, it could be a little bit better. Also the facilities were not the very top tier. They were good, but not great and they served the purpose that they were meant to.
