John Helliwell and Jesse Siebenberg in ROCK MEETS CLASSIC 2024

Nuremberg, April 20

Both members of Supertramp are part of the tour “Rock Meets Classic 2024”, a kind of “Night of the Proms” where classic and rock meets, but more focused to rock in this case. They already played in the 2018 edition.

Superb show, members from 5 bands, symphony orchestra and electric band with singers/choirs. Always on big arenas. I’ve attended the one in Nuremberg Arena.
Huge stage, visual effects, hug screen in the back and two big screen in the sides to see better the artists on stage, fire effects, smoke, spectacular lights, great orchestra and great band, etc,….

The five bands are well known, and the artists performed several songs from their band’s catalogue. Always accompanied by the orchestra and band. The orchestra also performed “Pirates of the Caribbean” main theme, for instance. A really great show !!!

It was very special to me to meet Tarja Turunen, since one of her songs with Nightwish is one of my all times favorite, "Walking in the air". And, fortunately she lives in Spain and speaks perfect spanish !!! She joined John and Jesse on stage to sing "The Logical song".

And, of course, the audience enjoyed the Supertramp songs, performed by Jesse on keyboards and acoustic guitar and voice, and John on saxophones/clarinet.
And the main star was Tarja Turunen, ex Nightwish), what a great voice. She also sung "The Logical song" wiyh John and Jesse.
At the end all stars performed toghether the last number on stage, great farewell.

The Supertramp songs: “School”, “Breakfast in America”, “The Logical song” and “Give a Little bit”,  all four themes composed by master Roger Hodgson.

What a great evening!. And, a profesional crew and team, very good atmosphere, we had a good time with all them after show in the hotel club until late.
Don’t stop the music !!
If you have the chance don’t miss it !!! really worth it !!!

NUREMBERG 20 ABRIL

Los dos miembros de Supertramp están participando en la gira “Rock Meets Classic 2024”, una especie de “Night of the Proms” donde se mezclan la música clásica y la moderna, pero aquí más enfocado al rock en éste caso. Ya participaron en la edición de 2018.
Grandioso espectáculo, con miembros de 5 bandas, una orquesta simfónica y una banda con coristas para acompañar a los artistas. Y siempre en grandes arenas. En mi caso he podido disfrutar el show de Nuremberg, en el Nuremberg Arena.
No falta de nada: efectos visuales, pantalla de video gigante y dos laterales para seguir los primeros planos, fuego, humo, luces espectaculares, gran orquesta y gran banda, etc,….

Las cinco bandas son muy conocidas, y todos los artistas han ido interpretando varios temas de sus respectivas bandas. Siempre con orquesta, que también ha interpretado magistralmente el tema central de “Piratas del Caribe” por ejemplo. Un gran show !!!
 

Para mi ha sido muy especial haber conocido a Tarja Turunen, ya que una de sus canciones con Nightwish es de mis favoritas, "Walking in the air".  Y por suerte vive en España y habla perfecto español !!! Se atrevió a cantar el famoso tema de Supertramp "Logical song" junto con John y Jesse.

Por supuesto el público disfrutó muchísimo con los temas de Supertramp, interpretados por Jesse al teclado y a la guitarra acústica y voz, y John con los saxos/clarinete.
Y la gran estrella fue la finesa Tarja Turunen, (ex Nightwish) que nos maravilló con su fantástica voz además de unirse a John y Jesse a cantar el "Logical song".
Al final interpretaron un tema todos los artistas juntos en el escenario, como despedida.

Los temas que interpretaron de Supertramp fueron “School”,  “Breakfast in America”, “The Logical song”  y “Give a Little bit” , todos los cuatro temas compuestos por el gran Roger Hodgson.
Una gran noche de esas que nunca se olvidan. Además todo el equipo es muy profesional y con un muy buen ambiente, pudimos comprobarlo con todos ellos en el club del hotel hasta la madrugada.
Que no pare la música !!
Si tenéis ocasión no os lo perdáis, vale la pena !!!
