Does anyone know if any Android phone was bought Abroad (not in Japan) that works with Felica / Osaifu Keitai?
Many Android phones sold in Japan have an NFC-F communication function that allows access to Felica / Osaifu Keitai.
I have the 2021 Android model bought outside, but it is not compatible, so I would like to know if the only way to access these apps is for phones sold in Japan.

2,354 helpful votes I haven't heard of NFC-F use other than Japan currently. It's hard to imagine supporting device is sold in other countries.
Thanks, ET. I know Google Pixel 6 or 7 has an Osaifu Keitai facility if bought in Japan. Does anyone use this model purchased from Abroad and uses Osaifu Keitai?
Purchased Pixel 7 from India and currently I'm in Japan, Can't use Osaifu keitai, seems like you can't use it unless it's an android purchased from Japan. One thing to note is that iPhone purchased from some countries (not sure but China, Korea) can use Osaifu keitai or similar things such as apple pay in Japan.

13 helpful votes You can often buy Japan-spec Android phones in Hong Kong and elsewhere in SE Asia, which should work. Otherwise no. More modern iPhones are compatible, such as with Suica App.
