Real Madrid's La Liga title defence isn't going to plan thus far.

After 18 matches played in the Spanish top-flight this season, Los Blancos find themselves five points behind fierce rivals Barcelona.

Xavi Hernandez's side haven't been at their dominating best by any stretch, but they've been grinding out results for fun.

Barcelona have only conceded six goals all season, which is quite frankly ridiculous.

Real Madrid in contrast have let in 18, although they did manage to keep a clean sheet against high-flying Real Sociedad last weekend.

However, Carlo Ancelotti's side were also unable to add to their 38 goals scored and the 0-0 draw is the reason they've fallen further behind Barcelona, who beat Girona 1-0 the day before.

But Real Madrid certainly didn't play badly against Sociedad. In fact, they were pretty good and it was a hugely entertaining game, despite the scoreline.

Vinicius Junior was up to his usual tricks on the flank, while there were some glimpses of quality from his fellow countryman, Rodrygo Goes.

One of the moments produced by Rodrygo during the match has actually gone viral on social media, only it's not a piece of divine skill this time around.

Instead, the snippet of action in question features the Brazilian's tireless pressing, pressing which makes our hamstrings feel sore just watching.

Rodrygo emulated Andy Robertson's famous work ethic against Manchester City a few years ago and at the end of it, he even managed to win the ball back for Real Madrid.

Now that's the attitude fans want to see from their talented youngsters.

Rodrygo has all the skill required to reach the very top, but he clearly hasn't let that fact get to his head and inflate the ego.

There are a few players out there who could learn a thing or two from the former Santos forward, who is still only 22 years of age.

Here's how some fans have reacted to Rodrygo's tireless pressing...

How many goals has Rodrygo scored for Real Madrid?

Rodrygo is slowly becoming a mainstay in the Real Madrid team, having joined the club from Santos in 2019.

In the 136 appearances for the Spanish club, he's scored 27 goals and assisted a further 27, which isn't a bad return when you consider his lack of starts.

It surely won't be long before he's banging them in with frightening regularity...
