Dennis Rodman was overwhelmed by Bulls fans' reception at the United Center - All Bulls Skip to main content

Dennis Rodman hasn't been to any Chicago Bulls games or events for a while. Although he returned to a United Center for Chicago Blackhawks legend Chris Chelios’ jersey retirement last month, he was notably nonexistent during the franchise's inaugural Ring of Honor Ceremony, in which his trip was canceled due to inclement weather.

On Saturday night, no one could stop the Worm from formally honoring his UC visit, and his genuine reaction to the Bulls fans' reception was as touching as it could possibly be.

The Worm was warmly welcomed

Before Chicago's weekend clash against the Washington Wizards, Dennis was first invited by the team for a special welcoming presentation on the sidelines of the United Center. And as the announcer introduced his name, the Bulls legend was instantly overwhelmed by the thunderous applause and standing ovation that he witnessed from the fans.

Rodman was speechless and touched by the nonstop cheers from the jam-packed UC.

“What do I say, man? Thank you,” the stuttering Rodman said as he tried to calm down his emotions.

Bulls legend

Times may have passed, but Rodman will always be indelibly etched in the Bulls’ history books. His arrival in 1995 launched the ball club to new heights, and the tenacity he showed on a nightly basis has greatly impacted Chicago's second three-peat reign.

Whenever he chooses to appear around the Windy City next time, the Hall of Famer will receive nothing but love from the Bulls faithful.
