      Critics Consensus

Mixed reviews for Guy Ritchie's return to his London-based cockney wideboy gangster movie roots, but most agree, it's a step in the right direction following two major turkeys.

Rock n rolla is real Rock n Roll Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review andrew F Entertaining movie, a nice mix of humor and grit. Great soundtrack (The Subways - well played), fun characters, really strong cast, pretty average plot, predictable at times. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/23 Full Review isla s This is what you'd expect of a Guy Ritchie film - London based, very much set in the gangster underworld, with bloody injuries and obviously fairly strong violence depicted, plus lots of strong language and the like. It features some dark comedy, with some good bits of dialogue and there is some frustratingly shaky camerawork used at times, although I guess that's done to higlight the frantic nature of whats going on at the time. Its a reasonable film of its type, that I suppose I would recommend, yes. Its not especially brilliant but its good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Matt G A very mid 2000s look at the gangster genre for all the wrong reasons Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/29/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
