Reviews
- John Kay still has the "grit" that makes the Steppenwolf sound so unique, but the later versions of the band are just not the same as the original line-up. Maybe the newness of the sound from the late 60's has worn off a bit on this listener through the years, but as an avid follower of the band I was more and more disappointed as releases kept failing to live up to the original few. I give this one a 3 out of 5 but mostly because John is trying so hard to recapture the magic.
