The Ritual Begins At Sundown : 2024 edition

As we approach the end of lent, a quick poll for my fellow r/BourbonUK Redditors.

Should I open one of two bottles (once the poll is closed I will post the actual bottle details) or blind the most recent 3 4RLE releases (2021/2022 & 2023).

And I will follow up with a review of poll winning decision at some stage over Easter.

Where did you get the Remus Repeal Reserve from? I got a bottle from the Dutch website Passion For Whiskey but I haven't seen it anywhere else.  I'm keeping an eye on Hedonism to see if they have any soon as they have recently had some Rossville Union Rye added to their (overpriced) stocks.

Auction.

Hedonism should be getting some more bottles of products not released in the UK over the next couple of weeks.

They have a bottle of Michter's 20 listed on their site at an eye watering price, the bottle number in their image matches one sold at WA recently.

Voted #2 because I've been wondering if the recent UK releases (Nickolls and Perks, Hedonism, BBR, The Lexington) are worth the price.

In order,  N&P Lexington  Hedonism  Normal Willett  BBR

Order best to worst or worst to best? And are you talking rye or bourbon? And what is "normal"?

u/Odd-Profile-5332 avatar

Best first, normal as in their standard 4yr bottle

Ryes

Had the N&P at Grain and Glass and was very good but definitely not worth the retail (circa £230 if memory serves) but did blow away any Whistlepigs I've had.
