Rita Wilson and her husband, Tom Hanks, still haven’t been vaccinated against COVID-19, despite being two of the first major celebrities to be infected with the coronavirus.

Why Wilson, Hanks aren’t vaccinated

Wilson told the “Today” show on Monday that she has felt excited to see so many people get vaccinated. But, she said, she and Hanks haven’t gotten their own doses yet.

  • “It’s been so emotional. We haven’t gotten our vaccine yet. How about hearing this for the first time in your life: ‘You’re not old enough.’ It’s like, ‘OK, I’ll take that!’” she said.
  • “But we are in line now because so many people are vaccinated and they’re opening up to the next tier.”

Wilson and Hanks are both 64 years old.
