This is a museum complex with different historical buildings dating to the origin of the city in 1882. This is a city of firsts—first Hebrew school, first Israeli flag, first lyricist of the national anthem, Hatikva, the first melody for Hatikva, among other noteworthy accomplishments. Staff offer very interesting tours of the buildings giving a glimpse to the stories of the city’s development. Guide Nili Arava made the history come alive. Don’t miss seeing the well about three blocks away and the excellent and compelling audio-visual program Aaron presents. Additionally, there are numerous display structures around the area giving a glimpse into the city’s past. Nice, clean restrooms.

Rishon Lezion Museum has a lot of potential. Its located perfectly on the historic area of the city, near many important monuments such as the house where Israeli national anthem was written, the first and largest synagogue and the first Hebrew school in the world.
their exhibits of the old city and the way the lived and learnt is very nice and interesting.
It's a shame that this place is so small.

The icon of the Museum is that same is 100% established on the site of the first pioneers arriving Israel . The site includes School,Synagogue, Settlers living on the site, Post Office, Pharmacy, Fashion shop, Water supply etc .All implements and tools are original and given over to the Museum , Managing facilities, all given over by the young generation of the first pioneers. I did voluntarise as French speaking guide. Visitors did include as any other Museum all families. organized groups etc

This museum is like stepping back in time. It gives a thorough history of Rishon Le Zion with artifacts from the first settlers, their homes, the old schools, the well, everything you can think of. It's a great museum. Well worth the visit.

Local municipal interesting museum includes not just an exhibition of pioneers' tools and way of living but it is extended to show site rooms and departments accompanied by telling stories of the era.The story of digging the first well, the Ottoman classroom, Schalit family house rooms and yard and since October 29th 2015, the next adjacent buildind will be opened to the public as well. This building was built originaly by Gordon family as a rich two storeys house in front of the school building which was called later on Haviv elementary school. When Gordon left the house then London family established the only hotel at the second storey, as London Hotel. This building was renovetaded during 2015 by support of the local municipality and it isnow part of the museum, expanding continously and as such and due to the added value of stories it is defined as a very good museum. I hope that expansion of buildings and stories will find further continuation justifying the excelence grade of this museum and of its management and devoted museum team members.
