The Beatles icon Ringo Starr marks his 80th birthday with wife Barbara Bach by posing in front of his Peace and Love sculpture in Beverly Hills

Ringo Starr celebrated his 80th birthday with wife Barbara Bach on Tuesday.

The Beatles icon and his other half, 72, took the time to visit his Peace and Love sculpture in Beverly Hills, California, to mark the milestone day.

Posing in front of the statue while flashing peace signs of their own, Ringo and Barbara made sure to put safety first as they both wore masks amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Ringo kept it casual as he wore a black t-shirt that had his face printed on the front in a peace and love logo, and finished off the look with a simple jacket and black-and-white jogging bottoms.

Adding a pop of colour, Ringo wore a red face covering which had a white peace sign print and he completed the look by wearing a pair of aviator shades.

Barbara matched her husband's fashion choices as she wore the same logo top with black jeans, while she more a star-spangled monochrome mask.
