On the evening of Good Friday, the congregations of First Lutheran Church, Albany, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Loudonville, gather at First Lutheran (181 Western Ave.) for the Service of Light and Darkness for Good Friday.This service combines elements of a Tenebrae service, with the extinguishing of candles as the Passion of Our Lord according to St. John is read, with the addition of the Solemn Reproaches and Veneration of the Cross from the traditional Good Friday liturgy.
Worship is in-person at First Lutheran and online on Zoom (http://FirstLutheranAlbany.org/zoom), Facebook, and YouTube.
