Iran wanted to – and did send – a clear message. New equation: if the biblical psychopathic entity keeps attacking Iranian interests, from henceforth it will be counter-attacked inside Israel. All that in a matter of “seconds” – as the Security Council in Tehran has already cleared all the procedures.
Escalation though seems inevitable. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak: “Netanyahu is influenced by his [fundamentalist] political partners to go into an escalation so he can hold onto power and accelerate the coming of the Messiah.”
Compare it to Iranian President Raisi: “The smallest act against Tehran’s interests will be met with a massive, extensive, and painful response against all its operations.”

The Vienna Convention covers only if you are not involved in non-diplomatic acts. The guy that was the target had been involved in acts against Israel, which is not in accord with diplomatic status. Iran knows this, and that is why they engaged in the circus of the retaliation that was an utter failure.

Now, because we are mainly all here literary inspired egotistical types this data packaging can at times (very often) become quite heated, and where one-up-man-ship? becomes all (too) important; one always needs to be the winner. In fact, we’re playing that game even right now, so you know what I mean. But these themes I mentioned: Wars, Jews… are so big there really is no right and wrong answer, at least at our level. And particularly where the thing here, the core of the argument, concerned the future, of which very few of us actually can know about. Our entire – that is both sides – exchange could be seen as absurd. I’m sure that you would agree with that, at least now, anyway. If you don’t you should perhaps cease reading this. After reading the things you have said since, and reflecting on them today, I would say the biggest criticism that could be made of me is that I am bombastic, that I am foul-mouthed, I might over-exaggerate to make hyperbole, and and at times might even get carried away in flights of some intuitive fancy. Agreed, right. So how about you? I would say that I was actually, not just surprised by some of your responses, but actually shocked by them. There was a prickly snobbishness about your comments, a petty disparagingness about them, which I thought (still think) displayed a certain cowardice. A disgraceful flippancy, if you like, which became worse as the encounter proceeded. Now, of course, you will take exception to this description. However, I write this not to offend you, but merely to inform you of the cause behind my response to which you initially took offense. In other words, I was merely returning the acid you had originally thrown. I’ll remind you that this is one of the passages you wrote:
