Biography

Ricarda Seifried, born in 1990, attended the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts in 2010/2011 and studied at the Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich from 2014 to 2017. Subsequently she had engagements at the Staatstheater Nürnberg (2017-18) and at the Reaktorhalle of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München (2018).

After infrequent appearances in front of the camera, for example in the short film "Synesthesia" (2015), director Jan Bonny cast her in a leading role as a right-wing extremist in his TV thriller "Polizeiruf 110: Das Gespenst der Freiheit" (2018). Since then, she has been working with Bonny several times, for example in two episodes of his web series "The Horror" (2018) and in a leading role in his film "Wintermärchen" ("Germany. A Winter's Tale", 2018), which is based on the NSU cases: As dull-minded right-wing woman, who together with her equally dull-minded friend and her lover starts murdering migrants and foreigners. After this, she starred in a smaller role in Bonny's TV production "Endlich Leben" (2019). Ricarda Seifried also remained active as a stage actress, for example in a production of "Antigone" at Theater Ingolstadt 2019.

Roles in other TV productions followed, including a leading role as the wife of a violent man in the TV crime thriller "Wie alle anderen auch" (2021) from the "Tatort" series, and in the ensemble of Stephan Lacant's six-part series "Der Überfall" (2022), about a robbery that links different fates in a chain reaction.

On the big screen, Seifried was seen in the 2022 psychodrama "Axiom," as the girlfriend of a well-liked young man who is not who he seems to be.
