“I’ve always been a huge fan of her and an admirer of her work,” Mark said. “Doing anything with Halle is very easy but also an absolute joy. Pretty much any guy or gal would do anything to win her over, so it was certainly easy when it came to me basically following her like a puppy.”

Wahlberg didn’t stop there. Not only did he note that he has amazing chemistry with Halle, but he also said it helps that she’s got an impressive figure.

“There’s a nice balance of humor and action with a story that ultimately relies on our chemistry,” he explained. “She is in incredible shape, and you don’t have to worry about her being believable in those situations."

In the forthcoming action comedy, Wahlberg takes on the role of a clandestine agent, though it’s a departure from the classic spy archetype. Under the direction of Julian Farino, Wahlberg portrays Mike, a construction worker from New Jersey whose routine existence is disrupted when his former high school sweetheart, Roxanne (played by Halle Berry), resurfaces. In a surprising twist, Roxanne unveils her covert operative identity and enlists Mike's assistance for a perilous mission.

He continued, “He got caught up in his surroundings and never really had the courage to step outside of his comfort zone."

The Union will be available on Netflix on August 16.

Mark’s comments about Halle may have raised a few eyebrows amongst fans, given his comments on her fit figure plus their undeniable chemistry, but his wife hasn’t made any public statements, suggesting she’s not bothered by his interview – or at least doesn’t care to make her feelings known to the world.
