Apparently this is "Quentin Tarantino's favourite movie soundtrack of all time"

I feel the same way, haunting, lovely and passionate...

Personally, I think this is Jack Nitzsche’s best work, and an overall fantastic soundtrack. It took a long time for me to finally get a copy of the disc, and paid a lot for it. Much more than what it is currently going for. However, the big disappointment came when I found that the ending credits guitar piece is NOT on the soundtrack. Anyone who knows the music from this film and loves it knows how important that final piece is to complete the journey this music takes the listener on. Through years of diligent searching I finally got that last song. From what I was able to find on the net about it, no one knows who wrote it, who played it or what the title is, or at least no one who does know has ever bothered write anything about it in the myriad of inquiries on the internet about it.

I digress… This music is haunting, lovely, emotional and passionate. It is a great soundtrack and a wonderful album on its own.
