Jodie Marsh has hit out at Phillip Schofield with a sassy comeback years after they locked horns on This Morning.

The former Dancing On Ice presenter, 61, announced his departure from the ITV daytime show last week before admitting to an affair with a much younger male colleague.

The former glamour model is among celebrities, including Kim Woodburn, who have since reflected on their experience on the This Morning sofa.

Jodie, 44, appeared on the long-running show, which is now facing calls to be axed, back in 2016 to discuss her plans to conceive via a sperm donor after vowing to give up sex forever.

The following day the 00s star said she felt ‘hurt’ by the interview with Schofield and Holly Willoughby, 42, on Twitter and accused the former of being ‘obsessed with talking about sex and my exes.’

She continued at the time: ‘Was that interview outdated, badly conducted and designed to hurt and upset? Or was it just lazy “journalism”.’

Schofield later responded on social media: ‘Next time I’ll certainly check with @JodieMarsh that it’s ok to ask the questions she was booked to talk about!’

Now, though, Jodie has got her revenge on Schofield, retweeting the ex presenter’s original tweet and adding: ‘Unfortunately for you Phil there won’t be a next time.

‘Couldn’t have happened to a nicer man.’

After confessing to the affair, which Schofield said was ‘unwise’ but ‘not illegal’, he announced he would be quitting ITV.

He first met the young man when he was 15 and says the relationship did not start until he was 18 and working on the show; the presenter was in his 50s at the time.

Schofield has also been dropped by his agents of 35 years and, more recently, The Prince’s Trust.

A spokesperson said it was ‘no longer appropriate’ for the charity to work with the former TV star.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Schofield’s lawyers for comment.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
