Noam Chomsky's monologue about the undermining of Democracy in the U.S. and the subsequent corrosive effects on the "American Dream" is only true in broad strokes. It is worth remembering he is a linguist, not an economist or political scientist. His requiem is not particularly in-depth or nuanced, and he puts too much faith in the power of protest for the democratic process.

Chomsky is not an economist, and you can get enough of his ideas on YouTube for free. Typical socialist, who only sounds "fresh" because people are so used to corporate neoliberalism.
