Jason Bailey Flavorwire It's a swirling, upsetting picture that gets bigger and scarier the more he talks. May 3, 2016 Full Review John DeFore Hollywood Reporter As one expects, Chomsky again proves to know more about his targets than they seem to know about themselves, calling on bits of history that damn not only the business-boosting right wing, but those on the supposed left side of American politics. Mar 31, 2016 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety A very useful addition to public discourse at any time. But it's particularly so during this election year ... Mar 28, 2016 Full Review Charles Mudede The Stranger (Seattle, WA) For the most part, the ideas and insights that flow out of his mouth (so clear, so simple, so thoughtful) square with reality... Aug 22, 2018 Full Review Brian Gibson Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) The directors bring to filmic life Chomsky's calm, composed talking-points--his measured, reasonable long-view of history and polic--with inventive framing of archival footage and coolly sharp images. A potent Panama Papers-era dissection of power. Jun 2, 2016 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher [E]ye-opening, consciousness-expanding, and - ho boy yes indeedy - angry-making stuff. Mike J Sonic lord king king evil king of king king lord evil Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/29/22 Full Review Audience Member Highly informative. Chomsky is fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review dustin d Noam Chomsky's monologue about the undermining of Democracy in the U.S. and the subsequent corrosive effects on the "American Dream" is only true in broad strokes. It is worth remembering he is a linguist, not an economist or political scientist. His requiem is not particularly in-depth or nuanced, and he puts too much faith in the power of protest for the democratic process. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member There was nothing novel or interesting about this "documentary". It was a compilation of socialist word-vomit. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review wer s An self-proclaimed Anarchist supporting FED; socialist remembering the difference between East and West Germany; Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Chomsky is not an economist, and you can get enough of his ideas on YouTube for free. Typical socialist, who only sounds "fresh" because people are so used to corporate neoliberalism. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
