Q&A
Marc Cohn - Walking in Memphis
Paul Simon - Graceland
For any first time listeners to the Graceland album:
This album has unusual rhythms and melodies. It seems kind of odd at first. Like it's a little "off". Give it a minute. Listen past when you think you would normally stop. It grows on you.
Graceland is an incredible album. The lyrics are very poignant and sometimes quite deep. There are stories of life that you will probably recognize in yourself. Maybe now. Maybe in 20 years. This album has stood the test of time for me; I think it's still great today.
While Graceland is not in my "official Top 10 Of All Time", it's really an amazing album.
As if I never noticed the way she brushed her hair from her forehead š¢
Always breaks me.
There are so many great lines in those songs. Simon really has poetic lyrics that stay with you. That one is a great example.
It is in my top ten of all time.
I think Walking In Memphis won a Grammy too.
