Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch is an unusual and fascinating place to visit. This historic site illustrates the rich heritage of the needle and fishing tackle industries. Models and recreated scenes provide a vivid illustration of how needles were once made, and how Redditch once produced 90% of the world’s needles. On the same site, just a very short walk from Forge Mill Museum, are the ruins of Bordesley Abbey – a medieval Cistercian Abbey which has been extensively excavated. Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre, which is set in an original reconstructed 16th century barn, tells the extraordinary story of the Abbey from its development in the 12th century to its destruction in 1538 by Henry VIII during the dissolution. Open April to September by appointment and on selected public Open Days. See website for details. Morton Hall Gardens are perched on an escarpment with breath-taking views over unspoilt country side. The gardens feature a unique fritillary meadow, sumptuous herbaceous borders, a striking potager, a majestic woodland rockery and an elegant Japanese Stroll Garden. Around the house lies a series of distinctive garden rooms. While each of these is defined by landscape, planting style and colour scheme, there is a sense of continuity which turns a garden stroll into a journey with a defined beginning and end. In the spring, magnificent bulb meadows take centre stage as well as woodland gardens and abundant tulip displays in herbaceous borders. Later in the year, the focus is on the more formal gardens with their intricate blend of perennial and annual planting in elegant colour schemes. On the west side of the house, its spectacular views are framed by a bold Mediterranean style garden.

Built in the late 1970's the Abbey golf course has now matured into a fine, championship standard parkland course measuring over 6,500 yards. Designed by Donald Steel, one of Britain's leading course architects the course has been extensively upgraded and lengthened in recent years. The course regularly hosts county matches and high profile corporate days. The layout includes matured trees, lakes and on the whole the fairways are wide with the rough not too punishing, the picturesque 7th is a 192 yard drive from the medal tee with the green surrounded on three sides by the river arrow. The 13th is a challenging uphill par 4 drive between two mature oak trees at 250 yards with the green concealed out of sight at the top of the hill.We offer Par 72 18 hole course, driving range, putting green, buggy hire, teaching and coaching support.

    Fantastic place
    Fantastic place to bring children. Clear the animals are well looked after and the facilities are clean. We also ate at the cafe which was fantastic value for money. The staff were lovely and the entrance fee is a bargain. Really impressed thank you ☺️

    the ELO experience
    another fantastic night at this Lovely theatre.
    run by volunteers on the night. they are friendly and helpful.
    band were excellent got everyone involved 👏.
    only downside no alcohol free drinks available. surprised at this

    Great !!
    We went into the boat house for a breakfast, well worth the £12 . Cooked lovely and a very short wait for it. Staff lovely and friendly. We will definitely be going back for another. Yes I do have my coffee that dark.

    Great!
    This was our first time at imagination street and my 3 year old absolutely loved it! We were very impressed. As soon as we got inside there were 2 young staff members cleaning the entire toddler area which was lovely to see. There was plenty to do in the toddler area (my daughter loved the little book corner) I think that’s a really sweet addition. She’s not yet brave enough to tackle the main area but she had fun in the smaller parts.
    My only concern was much older children running around and going into the toddler area- I know they get excited no ones to blame, but there were very very young babies crawling about and they were so boisterous which made me nervous!
    Apart from that it was amazing and we will definitely be returning.

    Good for dog walks
    A lovely park, great for dog walking, wooded areas and wide open grassy areas. Nice little cafe with outdoor seating. A toilet is available. Free car parking.

    Wonderful trip down memory lane
    Friendly and welcoming volunteers very knowledgeable entrance fee only £2 lots of interesting history regarding Redditch highly recommend a visit it’s a must!

    Worth a visit
    I came with a group and also with my partner on a bank holiday. The garden is lovely and looks well established although it has only been in existence for about 15 years. It is worth a visit.
    There are excellent views over beautiful countryside and there is lots to see.

    I am told the best time to visit is in the Spring and I plan to visit then.

    You have to book in advance. It is no good turning up on an Open Garden day without booking in advance. That is a pain and I and another lady got caught out. However. if you get things right you will not be disappointed

    Worcestershire Finest Golf Club.
    Brilliant Food and Atmosphere. Great golf course and Proshop. Best in Worcestershire.

    Abby golf course
    Very nice course, a bit far between the tees but very interesting, it was spoilt somewhat by the weather very wet, but will definitely play again hopefully it will be dryer. Hotel was clean and tidy.
