                                                                  We got there 30 minutes early and even though the place was not busy, they made us sit on the bar to wait. The oxtail was very good, I would have like more plantains on it. The banana pudding was sweet but delicious! The music was a bit loud but the atmosphere was great. The service was excellent, our waitress always checked on us.

We ordered the chicken and waffles, the oxtail oxtail, egg Benedict and we had the deviled eggs and the cornbread as a starter. Everything was delicious. Will definitely come again

                                                                  Made a reservation for 5 for a birthday celebration over a week ago and when we arrived they wanted to seat us outside after I requested inside the hostess said I requested outside on the reservation but I did not and when the manager looked at the reservation it only said birthday celebration. Even though there were many available tables they seated 5 people at a table for 4 stating all other tables were reserved except if we wanted to sit in the bar at a high top. I said we have a reservation don’t understand why they couldn’t seat us at an appropriate table and we took the high top . The manager was extremely rude, discourteous and indifferent and had we not been there for a birthday celebration we would have walked out. Fortunately the food was good recommend the cornbread, deviled eggs, chicken and waffles and oxtail benedict. Our server Pedro was very good as well. The Sunday Gospel music by Maryel Epps was delightful. We were there for over two hours the restaurant did not get full and the tables we had asked to be moved to when we were seated never had any customers. Cannot understand in this economy and with the competitiveness of restaurants for repeat clientele why we were treated so badly. Have to think twice about going back.

                                                                  The waitress mentioned the chef “doesn’t like” substitutions, which is fair but could’ve been worded differently. She also removed plates before confirming if we’re were finished. Restaurant was beautiful inside but outdoors needed some TLC, such as shampooing the fabric cushions or replacing it with an easier to clean material. The Miami Millshake drink was incredible! Food was just good. For southern food Yardbird is much better.

                                                                  Celebrated a friends 40 birthday. The food was outstanding, service top notch. The waiter and supporting staff were so attentive. We were a large party so it couldn’t have been easy. Every one enjoyed the food, the oxtail rice was incredible!!

                                                                  I hate to write this. But man was this visit was completely underwhelming. Went for a work dinner based on an experience I had a couple years ago. Restaurant was pretty empty, which is ok. But I don’t know if they changed chefs or what, but all the plates we ordered with the exception of the corn bread and jerk chicken were just bad (we tried 8-9 different dishes). I had to apologize to my work colleagues for the experience. I hope they can turn it around.

                                                                  Food and drinks were perfectly prepared and delicious. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The staff was friendly and professional. A few minor quibbles: - the staff was slightly TOO attentive… they checked in with us 6-8 times over the course of our meal, when 4-5 times would have been plenty. - Entree and dessert portions were HUGE - substantially too huge, in fact. The two of us could have shared a single entree and a single dessert and still walked away pleasantly stuffed. - it was a little pricey. Dinner and desert for two, including starters and 1 drink each plus tax and tip, was $255 dollars. (If the servings sizes were more in line with what a normal human can eat in one sitting, the prices could be more in line as well.) I would love to visit this place again… but next time order half as much food.

                                                                  Amazing just about covers it for our visit. We arrived early for our reservation at 6:00 PM. We were seated immediately by a lovely hostess, full of energy, and very happy. Our waitress Maria arrived shortly after being seated. Another smiling, happy face. Very friendly throughout our visit. We ordered a chardonnay and a biscayne bay IPA. We ordered the Florida City crabcake. This was not very heavy, a mango jam, Corn Chow Chow, Plantain Chips. Oh my, this was great flavor and textures with the crunchy chips and the soft crab, just wow. For our entree, she had the Roasted Boneless Branzino Collard Green Chimmichuri, Roasted HeirloomTomatoes, Grilled Lemon. She absolutely loved this delicious entree. It was cooked and prepared perfectly. I had the Red Shrimp & Grits Azar Andouille Sausage, Garlic Confit, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Tomato Shrimp Broth, and Creamy Grits. The spice throughout was a very pleasant tasting spicy heat. The grits, perfect and the flavors, came together very nicely. I could not finish my grits as it was a bit much in quantity. I had to leave room for dessert, the blackberry cobbler, and yes, it was just as amazing as the rest of our meal. If we lived here, we would be coming here regularly.

                                                                  I had called to inquire about live music at Sunday brunch, and while the response was no, we were pleasantly surprised to hear not only an amazing gospel singer but a live band!!! Starting at 12 pm. The sax was soo good and overall the music was inspiring and the highlight of our visit. The food is authentic, hard to avoid carbs and fat, but a bite once onna whole is ok, right? Recommend sharing mains and adding a few classic sides like corn bread and creamy grits with cheese. The vibe is chill and outside is quieter. Loved and will go back!

                                                                  I went to Red Rooster for lunch with my husband and I must say we had a wonderful experience. We were greeted and seated with no wait and were very nicely attended. I wanted to order a glass of beer but wasn´t sure which one to choose, so our kind waiter brought a small portion for me to try first. We ordered the corn bread which was perfect, the crab cake that was delicious and on point, and the cuban sandwich that had an amazing twist. We will most definitely come back!

                                                                  Here was our night: -lovely decor & welcoming hostess -waitress friendly and pleasant -drinks and caesar salad (though overdressed) yummy -oysters arrived about 30 minutes afterwards, not ice cold and 2/6 inedible -again waitress pleasant and apologetic-received a cornbread for our trouble - asked for another bottle of water and glass of wine - only wine arrived then OUR CHECK!! - so ok i guess we're not dining -paid. Left for hotel where we had dinner.
