Rebecca "Becky" Jewell Reynolds, 83, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021.
Born March 3, 1938, in Roanoke, Va., Miss Reynolds was the daughter of the late Lovell Leo Reynolds Sr. and Irene Alice (Jewell) Reynolds-Miller.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lovell L. Reynolds Jr. and Luther W. Reynolds.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1956, Becky also graduated from Western Maryland College, Class of 1960, with a bachelor's degree, and George Washington University, Class of 1966, with her master's in Education.
She retired from Prince William County School System with 35 years of service.
Becky was a 15-year member of McKinley Chapter 12 Order of the Eastern Star and attended Melvin United Methodist Church.
Becky is survived by her stepmother, who raised her, Ella L. Reynolds, Cumberland; her sisters, Helen G. Barnhart, Cumberland, and Ophelia "Teeny" Gray Reynolds, South Jordan, Utah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Hal Atkins officiating.
McKinley Chapter 12 Order of the Eastern Star will hold memorial services at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steven Reynolds, Jason Reynolds, Michael Evans, Edward Groves, John Groves, and Albert Helinski.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
