What Happened to Becky Bryan?

In May 2013, Rebecca "Becky" Bryan was found guilty of first-degree murder.

Becky Bryan had shot her husband, Keith Bryan, inside their marital home in Mustang, Oklahoma. He was rushed to the hospital but died of his injuries on September 21, 2011. Keith was 52 years old.

Becky and Keith Bryan had been married for almost 33 years and had two sons together.

Becky made the 911 call, claiming a male intruder had killed her husband, who was the Nichols Hills Fire Chief, in an act of revenge.

Becky told authorities the man, who was in his mid-20s, had mentioned Keith's decision not to employ him at the fire department as the motive for the murder. However, police soon discovered the fire department had not had any job openings for several years.

Becky soon found herself the main suspect in her husband's murder.

The murder weapon—a .380-caliber Ruger— was recovered from Becky's home. It had been discovered inside the washing machine as well as other incriminating evidence including a left-handed rubber globe, with her DNA, and shell casing.

Detectives also noted the serial number on the weapon matched the gun box under her mattress.

At trial, Mark Holbrook, Becky's former lover, testified how Becky had left him a long voicemail, hours before Keith's death, where she expressed her love for him. She also spoke of receiving a large inheritance and her plans to use the money to purchase a house close to him.

He also said that after he ended their four-month-long affair in early 2011, Becky would not leave him alone and even faked a pregnancy in an attempt to win him back.

Jurors also heard that, on the day before Keith's murder, she had sent naked pictures of herself to at least two men and had sex with a man on her way home. On the way to the hospital to see her husband, friends of Becky said she boasted about her affairs with other men and showed them intimate images.

Prosecutors successfully argued Becky had shot her husband in the side of the head without provocation as he sat on the couch watching TV.

In May 2013, Becky Bryan was convicted of first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

Where Is Becky Bryan Now?

Becky Bryan is currently incarcerated, serving her life sentence at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Today, Becky, who is thought to be in her early 60s, continues to maintain her innocence.

In 2014, Becky launched an appeal, citing errors in her case leading her to have an unfair trial, including ineffective counsel, improperly admitted prejudicial evidence, and "accumulation of error", details Oklahoma Criminal Defense.

The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals upheld her conviction.

The Mabel Bassett Correctional Center is an all-female prison and houses the female death row for the state of Oklahoma.

Notable inmates at the prison include Amber Hilberling, who was convicted in 2013 of the second-degree murder of her husband, Josh Hilberling. Her story was featured on A&E's Women Who Kill.

Brenda Andrew is the only woman on death row at the facility, for the murder of her husband, Rob Andrew in 2002.

Dateline: Secrets Uncovered airs at 8 p.m. ET on Oxygen and Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
