Rayan (Arabic: ريّان or ريان, romanizedrayyān), also spelt Rayyan or Rayaan, is generally a given name of Arabic origin, usually male but sometimes female,[1] meaning "watered", "luxuriant", "plentiful" or "heaven's flower" in Arabic.[2]

In Arabic and Islamic tradition, it is the name of one of the gates of Jannah, Al-Rayyan, through which only those who fast a lot would enter on the Day of Resurrection.[3][4][5]
