What travelers are saying
- Myra R6 contributionsWe really loved the beach. It was nice to see that you can go further and still not too deep. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed it the most. It was also great to see my son seems like running on the water. We all had a great time!Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KHowell26Dubuque, IA28 contributionsWe've been to the Racine zoo twice, once as a couple and 10 years later with our 2 kids, 5 and 7. This is a nice, small zoo and a great way to spend a few hours in Racine. The kids loved feeding the giraffes, feeding the birds and the train ride, as well playing on the playground.
I also highly recommend visiting the zoo beach!Written March 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A little store that offers ice cream and a delightful walk around to the point where the boats enter marina from Lake Michigan. I stayed at nearby hotel so was able to walk here. Private pool area for marina slip owners. I was very impressed.Written September 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - johnsI4481KVMilwaukee, WI42 contributionsThis is a Racine City and UW-Parkside joint venture. City is to provide the facility and maintenance and UWP the program. City does nothing. My son did his Eagle Scout project here to clean up years of overgrowth and it took four dump trucks of refuse away. UWP has a good environmental program geared at Elementary-age children. UWP also runs a kayak and canoe rental to paddle up-down the Root River. No one knows of this place, which makes it a great place to spend an afternoon.Written September 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - legacyendeavorsRacine, WI529 contributionsRacine's Horlick Park may be a very nice secret for many here in Racine but this gem of nature is wonderful to see and experience anytime of the year! It's absolutely a beautiful advantage for urban dwellers to have natural beauty in the midst and quite a healthy inclusion! Riding or walking about, meditation and simply silently venturing into this place is very interesting and delightful! The children as well as adults are always looking forward to seeing and being here!Written January 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
