Army Veteran Rachel Hatch return home to find her sister dead. But her "drowning" was actually murder and Hatch won't stop until justice is served. L.T. Ryan's newest character follows clues and dead ends and uses her military training to save her neck (and others', too) in this page-turner. Filled with twists and turns, I couldn't put it down. Now I'm waiting for book two!

I just finished reading Drift by L.T. Ryan and Brian Shea. A fast read. Not complicated. I had some issues with connecting with the main character Rachel Hatch. Her character seemed dry, and though she'd built up a protective wall, there seemed to be little compassion except for her niece and nephew.
It had a good plot but it was predictable. All in all, I read it straight through and it held my interest. For those who enjoy action thrillers, I'd recommend reading Drift. Four stars.

This is the first L.T. Ryan book I've read and I enjoyed it. I liked the character development, although it could've stood a little more massaging. The plot was nicely spun, and setting descriptions were well done. I read the first chapter of the subsequent book but feel, as a grammarian and ex-editor, that Ryan needs another set of eyes to review his material before it's published. Using words such as "phased" when "fazed" should have been used, and phrases such as "centered around" instead of "centered on" are distracting. Regardless, I will definitely buy the next book. Bravo!

This was the first book of this particular genre that I've read, so I want sure if I'd like it. Understandably, it took a chapter or two to get into a 'new flow' so to speak. But I can say that I really enjoyed it and will be continuing this series. I love that this is a female lead. I love that she's not portrayed as this perfect femfatale, that she's not untouched by her time in the military. She's overcome so much, personally and professionally but she won't back down.
It's great reading about a strong & capable woman who is underestimated by the majoyity of men in society.

A great novel by L.T. Ryan with Brian Shea. This book keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with every turn of the page. An easy read with characters as exciting as the story. The few twists and turns it offers is a wonderful element of surprise which makes this book hard to put down. I'm looking forward to reading more of L.T. Ryan's novels. In fact, my next read of his will be the first of a series with Dalton Savage titled "Savage Roads".
