She's best known for her scene-stealing role in Happy Death Day, but which other movies and TV shows is Rachel Matthews known for? Rachel Matthews is descended from a long line of actors, with her grandfather being Michael Landon, who is best known for Little House On The Prairie and Highway To Heaven. Her mother Leslie Landon also played various roles in Little House On The Prairie, while her uncle is Christopher Landon, a director with a long association with the Paranormal Activity series, in addition to helming horror-comedy Freaky in 2020.

Christopher Landon is arguably best known for the Happy Death Day franchise, which follows a self-absorbed college student named Tree (Jessica Rothe) who is murdered by a killer wearing a baby mask. The issue there is she wakes up following her "death" only to be get killed again, and she soon realizes she's trapped in a time loop that sees her murdered every day. The movie was a big success for Blumhouse in 2017, and Happy Death Day cast Rachel Matthews in her screen debut as Danielle Bouseman.

Danielle is the leader of Kappa Pi Lambda sorority, and is almost nightmarishly snobby and mean. Despite being something of a cartoonish character, Matthews brought a lot of charm and wit to the role and seemed to be having a great time hamming it up. 2019 would prove to be an especially busy year for the actress, who once again returned as Danielle for Happy Death Day 2U and played the aptly named Nurse Landon in indie drama Ms. White Light.

Matthews then played a supporting role in the 2019 miniseries Looking For Alaska, which was based on the John Green (The Fault In Our Stars) novel. The plot follows a new student at a boarding school falling for his classmate Alaska, with the series being met with great reviews. Matthews earned her first voice role with Frozen II, where she played Honeymaren, a member of the Northuldra who encounters Anna and Elsa during their adventure in the Enchanted Forest.

In 2019 Rachel Matthews also joined the first season of Batwoman as Margot and her criminal alter ego Magpie. Margot is a photographer who uses her job as a cover to scout locations so thief Magpie can later return to commit robberies. While the character is still alive in the series, there's no word on Magpie returning in the near future. Her next film is the upcoming comedy Tankhouse co-starring Tara Holt and Christopher Lloyd. While Christopher Landon is hopeful of making a third Happy Death Day - with the working title Happy Death Day To Us - it hasn't been confirmed yet. If it does happen, hopefully, Rachel Matthews will return too.
