Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.

The Queen Victoria Gardens stand out, for their meticulous gardening and their statues and water features. The statue of Queen Victoria is a faithful likeness of a woman who gave her name to an age. The grassy knoll on which the statue stands gives one of the best views of the city of Melbourne.

Queen Victoria Garden is full of interesting sights. A statue of the woman who gave her name to an age looks out over the City of Melbourne. The small waterfall is hidden away, but it's worth finding. In the pond, a bronze frog crafted by prominent artist John Olsen leaps out, adding a touch of whimsy. The pond is also favoured garden's duck. Queen Victoria Garden is sometimes overlooked, but it is beautifully presented.

Queens Gardens are a short trip from Flinders St Stattion. The Gardens have many features, my favourite is the Lake Waterfall. It's a lake flowing over a weir. The water looks bubbley and inviting, it flows into some lower ponds. The ornamental lake, from whence the wateer flows, hosts a flock of ducks who are quite contented and paddle around contentedlyI much prefer this casade. to the floral clock as the centrepiece of the much-loved Queen Victoria Gardens.

The statue of Queen Victoria is made of marble and granite. It commemorates Queen Victoia, who reigned from 1837 to 1901. The statue is the highest point of the Queen Victoria Gardens, which extend to 4.8 ha (12 acres). The gardens also include the much-loved floral clock. The gardens also include an equestrian statue of her son and successor, Edward VII. Unfortunately, the gardens are often neglected by visitors, as the view across the city of Melbourne is unmatched.

These wonderful gardens provide, by far, the best natural view of the city of Melbourne. However. I have problems with the statue; the fact that Queen Victoria did nothing, dressed in widow's weeds, but mourn her husband for 40 years. Prince Albert really was "the Victorian Age," Sorry, in those days, the Queen could be nutty and get away with it. She wouldn't have got away with 40 years of sulking today, Queen Victoria's actions (or inactions) were a dereliction of duty.

Just across from the National Gallery are these gardens. There is much to see here, including: the statue of Queen Victoria, a set of duck ponds, the floral clock, the statue of the hammer thrower, and the MPavilion. There are lawns and shade trees, too.

This 5 ha (12 acre) expanse of parkland is dotted with gardens, ponds, rolling lawns and sculpture. Roses are a feature of the Queen Victoria Gardens, especially in Spring. The magnificent marble sculpture of Queen Victoria dates from 1907. The rotunda is dedicated to Janet Lady Clarke. The floral clock is a popular feature of the Queen Victoria Gardens.

Since we visited the national gallery of Victoria, we just crosses the road & decided to pay a visit to this garden on a hot Thursday afternoon.

Garden appears to be peaceful, neat, maintained n clean.

Some people are just sitting on the floor chatting.

Situated along St Kilda Road is one of a group of very well maintained gardens. Interesting historical monuments as well as statues, water features and lots of greenery. A lovely place for a stroll.
