Amazing, Astounding, Extraordinary
Not only was this film highly entertaining and even ahead of its time but there are multiple implications for this story including anthropological & sociological and likely others I haven’t picked up on. Kneale had not only addressed the Premise that “Human Intelligence” is not human after all, but he has given biological & evolutionary rationale for ethnocentrism. The later of the two concepts is especially pertinent in light of our human history of genocide as well as the prevalence of hate crimes perpetrated for ethnicity & orientation. This is as pertinent now as it ever has been.

Still holds up from childhood
I remember first watching this with my father on a 'Friday Night Frights' show when I was a kid, and I came back to this film regularly during my adolescence. I have been looking for this movie on a streaming platform for about two years, and finally found it here. It still held up. It is a fun story and has enjoyable characters. Recommend if you are a fan of mid-century Sci Fi.
