We stayed Bed and Breakfast for an evening out with another couple to meet up for Dinner in Bridgewater. Room was massive, all the amenities you would expect and a few more for the price of the room which included a made to order breakfast in the morning - impressive. Room was very toasty after we turned the radiator on and there was a separate heater if needed - we were roasting mid night and had to open a window! The bed was ok for one night, everything else very good. We had a pre dinner drink in the bar which had a good selection of drinks and the food looked good but we went out for the eve so didn't experience that. A handy little place with a great breakfast and attentive staff.

Called for lunch a couple of days ago, to break up a long journey and is conveniently located just off the menu.

Menu was a 2 for 1 but the price of one course was extemley inflated to compensate for this.

Food was delivered really quickly and was of good pub food standard.

Dessert menu was quite extensive and was good portion size.

I would call again.

I visited the Admirals table last night for dinner with my Fiance, and it was terrible!!! We arrived and ordered drinks at the bar and were served by what I can only describe as a miserable bar maid, that clearly just didn't want to be at work!! We found a table and chose our food and placed our order. When our starter arrived, we had to ask the waiter to get us some cutlery (clearly he assumed we would be eating with our hands!!) The starter was completely over cooked (fried) and really was not worth £3.95 that was charged for it. Then came the mains, my partner ordered a pie expecting it to be nice and crispy, and I had a steak. Again we had to ask for cutlery!!! On inspecting the pie, it was very soggy, and the pastry appeared to be undercooked. When we called the waitress over, she informed us that its because they either microwave them or steam them in a bag!!! Yuk!! She said there is no point in ordering another as it will just come out the same!!! I felt like walking out after without paying my bill, and the staff wouldn't have noticed a thing as they were too busy gossiping!!! But I just couldn't bring myself to do that. £30 of my hard earnt money completely wasted!! Disgusting food, and despicable service!!!

We arrived at the admirals table and straight away the staff were lovely and helpful!
The rooms are very spacious and well decorated!
We ate in the restaurant during our stay and the food was lovely and service with a smile which was the same for breakfast!

Overall an excellent choice and fantastic value for money!

We had a family wedding in Somerset and opted to stay at the Admirals table. The rooms were spacious, clean and very good value for money. The food was well priced (but I would advise that if you like your steak medium rare to ask it to be cooked rare) but that was our only complaint. Having said that the food was still very tasty and well cooked. The staff were friendly and very flexible and a special thank you to our breakfast waiter today who coped exceptionally well with a full room of diners in a friendly and professional manner. We will definately be using this venue again.

Room tip: the double rooms also had an extra bed space with plenty of room to put this up without compromising on the floor space.
