Yeah the fact that the lawyers didn't go berserk and tear everything apart like they always do makes it clear both companies were friends.
The trials were just smoke screens.
Also this whole thing reminds me of this fake schism they push between "nerds" and "artists". Art is pretty technical and even "nerdy". Here the nerdy computer marketer is the same person as this popular musician. Yet in school they push the idea that you have to specialize like an insect.
I think the "Apple" also represents knowledge that wasn't worth it, just as it wasn't worth it in Genesis.
Like computers are neat sure, I like them, I even program. However they've been used to suffocate the rest of society. Then again I haven't been around that long so maybe society was just as dull and I would've found it worse without having the outlet of computers.
