Psychedelicized Radio – Music For Your Head!

Psychedelicized.com is an educational musical resource, for those that enjoy (mostly) obscure 60s and some early 70s psych, pop, freak, garage, head, prog, rock music, a lot of which is from the very forgotten fringes of our musical landscape. We are licensed by and broadcast through Live365. The adverts that the station plays are all vintage, unpaid commercials, purely played to add to the feel of the station actually being from the time the music was created. Please enjoy responsibly! 🙂

How about a little Friday trivia:
This song from 1969 is considered by some to be the biggest one-hit-wonder ever recorded. It's been licensed for numerous films and is the only song to ever hit #1 in the UK by 3 separate artists.

Another Friday has rolled around. Maybe I should work up a name...like "5 Song Friday" or something eh? Anyways, first 5 song requests that are on the station playlist (https://psychedelicized.com/playlist/) will get played at high noon today, EST (5/10/24). My apologies if the website says your request is on the playlist but it's not...that's being worked on. Let's have 'em folks!

American psychedelic folk band Pearls Before Swine began recording an album called "One Nation Underground". The LP includes a song called "Miss Morse", which would be banned in New York when it was discovered that lead singer Tom Rapp was singing F-U-C-K in Morse code. After disc jockey Murray The K played the record on the air, local Boy Scouts correctly interpreted the chorus and phoned in a complaint. The album would go on to sell 200,000 copies.
