I totally agree with the observations made by the critic. I really really really enjoyed this movie! I am 55 years old :)

"Now to be completely honest, when it comes to storyline, this movie is a bit over-convoluted and doesn't always make a lot of sense - but that said, at the same time the film is a really fun ride, with plenty of fistfights and shoot-outs, some quite decent effects work, and some fun costume choices. And not only in these costume choices but in everything, The Prototype is pretty much a perfect throwback to 1980s and 1990s macho action B-movies, where the physical always outweighed narrative finesse but everything was done to keep the audience entertained. And that's really what this movie does very well, it's basically a very enjoyable trip."

Just watched the movie on Apple TV, I don't know why so many 1 star and hate comments. The movie is good, it's obviously not a huge studio production, but I can tell a lot of work was put into it.

The Prototype is a fun action sci-if. It was made on a shoestring budget so it relies on the story and strong directing to carry it. The storyline, while not perfect, is strong enough to hold the interest of the audience throughout the movie. The camera angles and shot selection were used very effectively to build suspense and hold the audiences' attention.

The negatives with this film are mostly related to the budget. The main actors do a good job but some of the supporting characters aren't as strong. The special effects are good but limited by the budget.

This is Marcello Grion's first movie and he made it for around a million dollars, which which is practically unheard of. His direction of the Prototype shows that he is a talented emerging director who deserves your support. Compare this movie to the first film of nearly any heavyweight director and it compares very favorably. This is a quality effort and worthy of your time.

I would suggest ignoring the negative reviews which suspiciously all showed up at the same time, and give this movie a chance.

Most interesting and creative film I've seen in a while. Low budget but still holds up your attention to the plot. It's hard to guess what's coming next. It will keep you entertained like it did with me.

It is unlikely you will check this movie out. But if you do, let me tell you, it's very good. Great story and very well done. The production is small but it manages to hit all the right points with an unknown cast and minimalistic special effects. Kuddos to the filmmakers!

Many people will be impressed like I was, once they discover this marvelous film. The style is very different to any other sci fi films out there. It has a an interesting storyline and like other reviewers mentioned, it keeps you guessing until the end.

This movie made me believe that there are still great storytellers out there in a world infested with a lot of garbage streaming on and on. I love how this movie is so unpredictable and changes scenery and uses time travel in an unique way.

10 Stars. You either hate this film, or learn to love it. I felt in love, and my love is very giving. Great story, great production all together for a movie made with a very small budget for a sci fi. It is a lot better than you think...

Beginning ! I hope this film becomes a series or a trilogy with the proper budget. Nicely done!!! The story hooks you up, and it's very hard to predict the ending. It's entertaining and better than many other low budget out there.

Highly entertaining and done with a small budget and it is a very good movie. The screenplay is different and it is as good as anything you have seen before. Very good job.

More than I expected to be honest. Low budget sci fi are usually terrible, but this one was different. It started ok and as it kept going forward it became more and more interesting to the point I didn't mind the low budget effects or the unknown cast. It was a good, fun ride full with surprises and it kept us entertained. We will keep our eyes open for the follow up...

I mean it, you need to use your brain for this one. Forget the popcorn and the soda, and focus on the story and analyze it with your friends like we did. It was highly entertaining and smart, great film for movie lovers regardless of the budget.

Before complaining that it doesn't have huge special effects or that the acting is not that great expecting famous actors to play the roles, you must realize that in spite of all that negativity that unfortunately encircles every low budget film out there, this film is different and it is because it is very well done with an impressive screenplay and very well put together. It didn't let me down for a moment and I wish to see a continuation to it - with a bigger budget of course.

This was a fun movie. Great low budget supported by a great story, directing, editing and strong performances. The way it builds up it's very good. Nice balance of intellectual and entertaining sequences.

This is how you make a low budget sci fi for under a million and make it good. The story made a huge impression and kept me intrigued all the way. If you want to watch a film with fresh ideas and be entertained you should consider this film for your personal catalogue.

We watched it late last night and we weren't expecting much, you know the drill, low budget sci fi suck all the time, but this one was different, you can tell it was made by an artist, great story and good performances, yes the cgi is not 100 million because it can't be, forget that, we were very intrigued by the film and we loved it!!!

Undecided to give it a higher rating, but it was good in every sense, the story was interesting, it was always changing and plenty of surprises, the main guy was through a lot :) tough guy :)

Great film from beginning to end. Professionally done and very well written. Plenty of twists and turns at every scene. The characters are super intriguing. The ending, I never expected that...

Good, clean fun sci fi with lots of good moments and unexpected situations. It will keep you guessing and you won't probably guess it right :) I tried.

Not spectacular action but the story is as strong as any big Hollywood movie out there. It was worth the money and the time. Low budget KING.

This was such a good movie. In reality, of course, it is a low budget film BUT what a great story and how interesting and creative film. If you follow the story and forget about the Hollywood blockbusters, this movie will impress you. You have to use your brain, what a concept.

Not a lot over the top action in this one, but the story is strong and the performances are good enough to carry it to the finish line. Can't fault the filmmakers from making a good movie with a low budget or attempting to make a sci fi without the spectacular effects you see in big studio movies. I think it's safe to say this film's fan base will grow over time.

Well done film, very interesting plot and I like how it was presented, unpredictable and with a strong sense of cinematic storytelling. I might have to watch it again !

When you think it's bad it's good, I was hesitating on watching it but I gave it a chance and slowly but surely it kept my interest the whole time. I liked the story very much. I won't spoil it, but I am happy I watched it.

Nicely done, it was different than other low budget (with bigger budgets and famous actors) this film manages to deliver a strong storyline focusing on the main character and his personal journey to save the world from total destruction.
