Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Delayed To March

Originally slated to arrive on 20 January 2021, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake by Ubisoft has hit a snag. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the game has now been delayed to a 18 March release instead.

Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune are working on the game together. Unfortunately, more time is needed to get things right. This news comes via the development team behind the remake.

“We are excited to be able to put this game in your hands again as we retell the story of the Prince and Farah in amazing 11th century Persia. However, 2020 has been a year like no other.”

“Today we have to inform you we need more time to complete the game, so the release date of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been moved to March 18, 2021. We believe this is the right decision to ensure we deliver a game you like.”

After such a long wait, a couple of months more would not hurt anymore. In fact, the current situation makes this delay more understandable than usual.

Unlike the hero, we cannot rewind time. The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake can certainly do with a great entry, as many fans yearn for the franchise to make a proper comeback.
