- KK78Bay Shore, NY730 contributionsUnfortunately the day we visited it was pouring down with rain. We toured the main museum, about the life and history and L.M. Montgomery, but did not tour the grounds due to the weather. The museum is nicely done with pictures and information about the author's childhood and life. There is a big gift shop too. Too bad the weather wasn't nicer.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- World_travellor79Sudbury, Canada171 contributionsWe stayed at the Cavendish Campground, just outside of Cavendish, PEI. I fell in love with the entire location almost immediately. The campground itself is located just outside of town. There was a main gate house for checking in, which was fast and efficient. The park itself may look a little rough, but with all the storms that go through, there has been some damage to the flora and fauna, but its the location that is incredible. We had a site that was very close to the ocean and the beach. Waking up every morning to the sound of the waves, and the smell of the ocean just can't be beat. The park we clean, and well maintained (again, there was some storm damage, but that's nature), laundry facilities, thoughtful lot layout and nice sites for any size camping equipment.
The town itself was incredible. A complete Florida beach feel to it, on PEI. Loads of shopping and attractions just minutes from this location. I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to explore PEI and see what there is to offer. Stunning views, friendly people...an amazing Canadian location that I will go to again.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Big, ornate and kinda over the top for such a smallish city. Iconic and historical gothic style of architecture. I like checking out various temples, chapels, and synagogues…not to find fault with decor or style but to celebrate the faiths they reflect. Yeah, this is worth a visit.Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - traveltheworld461Fort McMurray, Canada1,914 contributionsThere are lifeguards at Basin Head Beach. The water and sand were extremely clean. I enjoyed this beach much more than Brackley Beach. You don’t have to pay for entry at Basin Head Beach. We got to experience the singing sand. The water was very cold but you get used to it.
We visited the Cliffside Café for lunch and I had the best lobster roll. We also had cheeseburgers and fries.Written October 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TennisStar602New Jersey671 contributionsI was excited to drive over the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. A toll of over fifty Canadian dollars ($50.00 Canadian) had to be paid only when a person exited Prince Edward Island; these toll workers had credit card machines for credit card payments. The views of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence were incredible, and it probably took about fifteen (15! minutes of a drive to go from end to end of this bridge. The speed limit was eighty kilometers per hour (80 K.P.H.). I got stuck behind a truck when I exited Prince Edward Island, and there was only a single lane going in each direction. This bridge can be closed down due to inclement weather, so it is smart to check ahead before an individual plans to travel over this bridge.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - roaming_kiwi58Christchurch, New Zealand2,827 contributionsGreat place for a walk. Pleasant boardwalk around the foreshore. Charlottetown is lovely and as well as the park there are interesting historical buildings to investigate. We visited twice from a cruise and enjoyed our two days here.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TennisStar602New Jersey671 contributionsI took a drive for about fifteen (15) minutes on Du Gulfshore Parkway West. North Rustico Beach and MacNeill’s Brook Beach were great sites to explore. I loved the red cliffs and the red sand. There were also a plethora of rocks and shells around the beach. The water was very chilly and rough, and I would caution visitors who come to this area in the winter to be prepared for a very cold and windy weather. I took advantage of the many areas to pull over, to park the car, and to take a hike. The views of these beaches were my favorite highlights of Prince Edward Island National Park.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anika RToronto, Canada197 contributionsVery beautiful. Unfortunately I didn’t know the museum was open public. I thought it was just for guests at the inn. I enjoyed the area in general and the beach and wish I had the loot until to visit the museum tooWritten September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
