Biography

Giuseppe Mahdi Khan died young.

Giuseppe Mahdi Khan was born in 1909. He was the son of Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah, Aga Khan III and Teresa Magliano. He passed away in February 1911. [1] [2]

Research Notes

The titles of prince and princess, which are claimed by children of the Aga Khan by virtue of their descent from the Qajar king Fath Ali Shah of the Persian Qajar dynasty, were recognized as courtesy titles by the British government in 1938. [1] This was long after Giuseppe Mahdi was born and died, so he did not have those titles when he was living.

She died in 1926, following an operation on December 1, 1926. Prince Giuseppe Mahdi Khan, was born in 1909 (exact date unknown) and died when he was about 2 years old, in February 1911 (exact date unknown). Prince Aly Khan was born the year his elder brother died, on June 13, 1911, and died on May 12, 1960. (It is not known if his older brother had died by the time he was born.) Mawlana Sultan Muhammed Shah had a third son, Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, who was born on January 17, 1933, and died on May 12, 2003. Both brothers, Prince Aly Khan and Prince Sadruddin died on same date - May 12 - one died in 1960, the other 2003, 43 years later.
