Our school district is an amazing community of families and staff who care about having a thriving school system. We are fortunate to have a variety of options so students can find a place that serves them well. We have thriving sports and art & music programs too. Unfortunately, the district administrators are working to change the district to make it all the same and consolidate schools to save money, without the input of the community. I am not sure why having to make everyone learn in the exact same way is good for such a vibrant community.
I loved my time in this school district so much. I felt supported and challenged by all my teachers. Elementary school, middle school, and high school is a time I will never forget.
Poudre School District is a wonderful place to go to school. It has all of the opportunities that one would need. I am a 'go-getter' so my experience is different than others. The resources are there for you to use, except you have to search for them and get them. The opportunities don't seem to come easy to those who just wait for them. One of the downsides of this district is the lack of care and attention to our basic needs, like air conditioning. During the hotter months of the year, our school has reached temperatures upward of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I would like to see a change in our basic and immediate needs being met. It was very hard for py peers and myself to focus under those circumstances.
