Tony Ferguson’s persona has taken on a life of its own over the years — and on Thursday, it was amplified even more so.

What began as a simple tweet on Thursday morning turned into a phenomenon. The Friendly Sparring Podcast Twitter account decided to throw out a movie idea starring the the former interim UFC lightweight champion and the imaginations of MMA fans and media members ran wild, capping off each though with a rhyme of the word champ from Ferguson’s catchphrase, “Champ sh*t only.”

In terms of his fighting career, the 37-year-old Ferguson is seeking his first victory since defeating Donald Cerrone via doctor’s stoppage TKO at UFC 238. Since then, Ferguson has been on the wrong end of dominant losses to Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC 249, now undisputed 155-pound champ Charles Oliveira at UFC 256, and most recently, Beneil Dariush at UFC 262 in May.

Here’s just a few of the many “El Cucuy” cinematic themed ideas that were put out into the wonderful world of the internet.
