- Terri CIpswich, UK139 contributionsSuperb place to visit. Highly recommend it. A great place to relax with family and friends. Look at the water and enjoy a sunsetWritten November 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Les PRichmond, Canada12 contributionsSasamat provides a lovely white sand beach on a lake that can be quite clean. The cleanliness depends on the number of people in the water - crowds equal murk and kids doing what kids do. Likewise, for part of the Spring, there can be too many geese with poop everywhere including the water.
It’s very popular with open water swimming, having little or no current and being in a largely protected valley the water is rarely more than rippled.
Power boats are not allowed, but it is popular with kayakers, stand up paddle boarders and floated of all kinds.
One recent development is pay parking. However if you get there early and go in for a swim around the lake you can easily get out before 10:00 and not have to pay.

- Peter FVancouver, Canada122 contributionsI wonder how many people walk by or drive by the Station Museum and miss it altogether?
The building is a restored Canadian Pacific station which has been repurposed as a museum that includes railroad, post office, police, and other general aspects of local history.
Facing the station building is a Canadian Pacific heavyweight sleeper car, whiuch unfortunately was not open to the public when I visited.
Around the back of the building is a replica of a World War I trench, complete with an almost life-sized biplane on display. A sobering reminder of the horrors of more than a century ago.
On one side of the building is a heritage garden, acknowleding a forgotten detail--station buildings were once famous for their flower gardens, which were a point of pride wiyh stationmasters and their families, who often lived in the buildings.
Suitable for all ages, this museum is small, but has a varied enough collection to interest everybody.Written September 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you are in love with nature, from CityHall head west through the trails crossing the tracks to Shoreline Parks. Trails around park are both paved,
with Shoreline Trail a 3km trail of dirt trail and small bridges. You will pass by the blue herons nesting high in the birch trees or fishing the streams. Salmon swim up stream in Noons Creek to
spawn, floating back down to feed herons and seagulls in October. There are 20-25 Blue Herons nests in the spring that one can hear from the distance or view quietly underneath so as not to disturb them. Watch for black bears feeding on berries in the fall, but do not get closer than 100 metres. If you make noise by talking while you’re walking they will disperse quickly but should you surprise one, walk backwards slowly and don’t turn and run. They do not like contact with humans and will avoid it unless a sow with cubs in the spring. If so lower your head and move back slowly. This year, we also had a rare visit from Orcas feeding in the inlet, a remarkable sight to see.Written October 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This park is directly across the Burrard inlet from Rocky Point Park, and Shoreline Park links them together; the paved trail is 3.0 kilometers but the gravel path follows the water line and is 2.3 kilometers. The views are excellent throughout the trail. The trail is fairly easy-going and level. The Old Orchard Park has a great little beach, which is clean and good for swimming .You can book it for a birthday party through Port Moody Parks.Written June 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jonique LifeAustralia2,540 contributionsThis is an easy 3km loop, which takes you through a beautiful forest and past some lovely beaches to relax at. It’s a perfect place for a family day out and a nice picnic! The water is really phenomenal and it was very fun walking over the bridge across the water! The water was actually really warm which was a surprise! Parking is paid here and it can get quite busy so arrive early for a spot!

I consider us lucky getting seats right away after 2 pm on a hot weekend day – all of the breweries in the area are extremely busy during the weekends. I've tried Moody Ales in several pubs before, so it was nice to taste the whole line in the brewery itself. They mostly have light beers, so don't expect very hoppy IPAs, but I think most of their beers are perfect for a hot day. Hardy Brown Ale, Cask Engine Special Bitter, Russian Imperial Stout, and Lightheart Brewing West Coast Pale Ale stood out the most for me. They don't have a full kitchen, but there was a food truck outside with excellent Jamaican food, and we were able to bring food from the to the brewery. The service was pretty outstanding. Overall, I prefer more hoppy beers personally, but I think Moody Ales produce an excellent product. Come check it out.Written August 31, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- SheilinaLondon, UK66 contributionsA beautiful location at any time of day. Remember it's coastal so you have the privilege of enjoying tidal waters, mudflats and the serenity of the water.
This provides beautiful trails around the inlet, and it's gorgeous at sunset! Most of the trails are really easy to walk, with stepped areas and plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the view.
